BURNS SUPPER and BCLA PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS

After an absence of several years the Scottish Contact Lens Society Burns Supper will return this year.

We have a very special meeting with the BCLA Presidential Address being delivered by current President Shelly Bansal.

In his lecture, entitled “Safety in Numbers”, Shelly will look at how clinicians can improve the way they interpret, and act upon, industry statistics on infection, injury and decontamination. The lecture will also cover the various aspects of safety in contact lens practice.

The presentation will be followed by a traditional Burns Supper including Haggis and a Wee Dram of whisky.

The Meeting and Burns Supper is free to current members of the SCLS and BCLA. 
 Non-members can join / pay on the evening.

Costs for membership are £15 by standing order or £20 cash which includes the Burns Supper and also one year membership of the SCLS.

FOR CATERING PURPOSES NUMBERS ARE EXTREMELY IMPORTANT SO PLEASE CAN YOU LET US KNOW WHETHER OR NOT YOU WILL BE COMING TO THE MEETING BY TEUESDAY 18TH JANUARY - thanks.

Afterwards we usually go, with the speaker, to Di’Maggios adjacent to the University for some food and all are welcome to come along.

This is a great time to catch up with friends or for informal chat about Contact Lenses and Optics and to talk with the speaker - so do come and join us if you would like to.
